VoltKit News summarises and organises useful information from public and official sources. It is not a newsroom: there are no reporters on the ground, no interviews and no original reporting. What we add is a concise, faithful summary, context, and a link to the original document so you can check it yourself.

How stories are chosen

We cover developments that are useful to know about in technology, AI, open source and developer tools, the internet, science and, where we have adequate sourcing, education, gaming, business and world events. We prefer one clear story per event over many near-duplicates, and we do not publish a story just to have something new. A category page only exists when it has stories.

Sources

Every story lists its sources with a link, the source type and, when known, the source's own publication time. We prioritise the original document:

  • official announcements, release notes and changelogs from the project or company involved;
  • primary documents such as advisories, papers, standards and official datasets;
  • established news organisations for context, clearly labelled as reporting.

We never invent a source, a quote, a date, a number or a URL. If a detail is not in the sources, the story says so in its “What is not yet confirmed” section. Quotes are reproduced exactly and attributed. We do not copy article bodies or photographs; each story is an original summary that sends you to the source.

Verification labels

Each story carries a plain-language status rather than a score: based on an official announcement, based on a primary source, based on reporting by an established outlet, confirmed by multiple independent sources, developing, or not yet independently verified. Where reputable sources disagree, we say so and describe the disagreement instead of picking a side.

Sensitive topics

For conflicts, attacks, elections and politics we use neutral, factual headlines and attribute every claim and every figure to its source. Contested casualty numbers are never presented as confirmed. We do not endorse candidates or parties, predict results or tell readers whom to support. Scientific findings are described as reported, with the distinction between peer-reviewed work, preprints and preliminary results kept visible. Health stories rely on medical institutions and are never medical advice.

How AI is used

AI tools may help draft summaries, suggest categories and topics, and find related content. A person checks every published story against its sources before it goes live, and the build itself rejects stories with missing sources, undeclared external links, future-dated timestamps or sensational headlines. AI is never the source of a fact.

Timestamps

“Published” is when VoltKit published the summary; the source's own date is shown next to each source. “Updated” changes only for a substantive change, which is described in the story's updates list. Publication dates are never moved to make older stories look new, and “Latest” is always sorted by publication time.

Corrections

Errors are corrected in the story with a dated correction note; significant factual errors are never silently rewritten. To report one, use the contact page or email contact@voltkit.in.

Advertising and sponsorship

VoltKit does not run third-party advertisements, use sponsored links, or publish sponsored content. Editorial decisions are independent of commercial partnerships.
