How to use the merge pdf
- Drop your PDFs onto the upload area or click Choose files. Each file shows its page count once it's read.
- Drag the rows or use the arrow buttons to set the order in which the documents are joined.
- Click Merge PDFs.
- Download merged.pdf. Files stay on your device the whole time.
Features
- Merge up to 50 PDFs at once, up to 200 MB each
- Drag-and-drop ordering with keyboard-accessible controls
- Page counts shown before merging
- Pages are copied as they are: text stays searchable, links and vector graphics are preserved
- Password-protected files are detected and reported instead of silently failing
How the merge works
The tool opens each PDF in your browser with a JavaScript PDF library, copies its pages into a new document in the order you set, and saves the result. Because pages are copied rather than rasterised, text remains selectable and searchable, fonts and images keep their original quality, and file size stays close to the sum of the inputs.
Form fields, annotations and bookmarks are attached to pages, so most of them survive the merge; document-level features such as a table of contents or metadata come from the first file only, and encrypted files must be unlocked first.
Privacy
Contracts, medical records and bank statements are exactly the files people merge most, which is why this tool never uploads anything. You can confirm it in your browser's network inspector: no request contains your documents.
