Internet tools

Find your IP, test your connection speed, look up DNS records, check SSL certificates and see how a website responds. Each tool says plainly whether it runs in your browser or asks our server to make a request on your behalf, and none of them stores what you check.

Network

Your connection, addresses, ports and routing.

DNS & domains

Records, registration and name servers.

Website checks

How a public site responds, what it runs and what it presents.

Performance

Timing, size and caching of a page.

Questions about the internet tools

Which of these tools send data to a server?

What Is My IP reads your address from the request itself (and asks ipwho.is and ipify only if you click for network details). The speed test moves random data to and from VoltKit's servers. The SSL, website status and technology checkers send the domain or URL you enter to our server so it can connect to that site. DNS Lookup, URL Parser, User Agent Checker and the Subnet Calculator run entirely in your browser; DNS queries go directly to Cloudflare and Google.

Is anything I check stored?

We don't save your checks. The server-assisted checks run the request and return the result, but our web server logs record each request, including the domain or address you entered, and keep them for about 14 days, as the privacy policy describes.

Why can't I check a private or local address?

The checkers refuse private, loopback, link-local and other non-public addresses, and they resolve the domain first to make sure it does not point at one. This stops the tools being used to probe networks they should not reach.

Why do speed test results differ from my provider's app?

Your provider's test server sits inside its own network; ours runs on a hosting platform in a fixed region. Distance, routing and the server's own capacity all affect the result. The number is real for this path; it is not the only number.
