A recharge gets the bonus of the highest tier it reaches, repeated in whole multiples of that tier's amount; lower tiers are never added on top. For example, ₹4,000 (≈ $42.1) gets 4 × 10 = 40 bonus credits.
Bonus credits are spent before paid credits. If you ask for a refund of a recharge made from 26 October 2026, its bonus credits already used are deducted from the refund, and any gift reward from it is taken back (refund policy). The quote at checkout shows the exact bonus and gift reward before you pay.

How a gift reward works
A recharge tier or a usage milestone may carry a gift reward: a number of paid gifts of your choice, or an all-access pass to every paid gift for a time. A recharge gets the reward of the highest tier it reaches, once; it is not multiplied.

Pick any published paid gift in the store and claim it with your reward at checkout: no payment, and the same licence as a bought gift.

Download the original, full-quality file from Console → My gifts, without the watermark, and add it to your app's gift picker.
- Rewards cover published paid gifts, one gift per claim. Gift bundles are not included, and a reward claim is never combined with a gift coupon.
- A claim takes a copy like any other: limited editions and seasonal gifts can be claimed only while copies remain and the gift is on sale.
- An all-access pass covers any paid gift while it lasts, and gifts you claim with it stay yours after it ends.

SVGA, animated WebP and still gift icons
Each gift page names the file you receive. The previews on the site are watermarked and lower quality; the original you download after a claim is full quality.
SVGA
Transparent animations that can carry sound, for full-screen gift effects and entry effects. Test one in the SVGA Player.

How other RTC providers handle gifts
ZEGOCLOUD's live streaming kit documents the same split: the app's server checks the sender's balance and deducts it, then sends an in-room message that the receivers turn into an animation, and its docs note that such a message can be lost in rare cases (ZEGOCLOUD docs, read 25 October 2026).
Tencent RTC's gift system has to be activated with a trial or a Pro edition of its live kit, the number of gifts you can set up depends on the package, and its core library has no built-in gift animation player (Tencent RTC docs, read 25 October 2026).
With VoltKit, the rooms and chat come from VoltKit RTC and the artwork from the gift store, where gifts marked Free cost nothing to claim. Rates beside Agora's and the others' list prices: VoltKit as an Agora alternative.

Yes. Bonus credits are spent first, before the credits you paid for, and they fund usage at the same rates. Your wallet history shows every bonus and every charge.
What happens to my rewards if I ask for a refund?
For recharges made from 26 October 2026, a refund pays back the unused paid credits of that recharge minus its bonus credits you have already used, at the price you paid per credit and never below zero, and its remaining bonus credits are removed. Whenever a recharge was made, a refund or a chargeback takes its gift reward back: unclaimed gifts are cancelled, and gifts claimed with it leave My gifts. For example, you pay ₹1,000 (≈ $10.5) for 1,000 credits and get 10 bonus credits, then use 1 credit, which comes from the bonus: a refund pays ₹999 (≈ $10.5) and removes the other 9 bonus credits.
Do usage milestones give rewards too?
Usage milestones give bonus credits when the usage your wallet pays for reaches a set number of participant-minutes, and a milestone may carry a gift reward. None is running right now.
Does VoltKit RTC send and play the gifts?
No. Your server checks a gift and debits your own coins, then posts a gift event to the room's chat, and every app plays the artwork with its own player. The SDKs have no gift-sending API or gift player; VoltKit's gift store supplies the artwork as SVGA, animated WebP and still images.
What may I do with a gift I claim with a reward?
The same as with any gift you buy: use it as you like in your own apps and business, even as a paid gift in your app, but never resell or share the file itself. A gift claimed with a recharge reward stays licensed while that recharge stands; if the recharge is refunded or charged back, the gift leaves My gifts and the licence ends. VoltKit may also withdraw a reward that was granted by mistake or misused, with the same effect, as the gift licence says.
