VoltKit started as a set of browser-based tools: compress an image, merge a PDF, format some JSON, and get on with your day. Today we are adding a second section built on the same principles: games that load instantly, run entirely in your browser, and never ask you to sign up.

What's included

The first ten games are careful takes on classics people already know how to play:

Connect Four and Tic-Tac-Toe include a computer opponent (the Tic-Tac-Toe one is genuinely unbeatable), Minesweeper has three board sizes with a guaranteed safe first click, and 2048 has an undo button for the move you regret immediately.

The same rules as the tools

We built the games the way we built the tools:

  • No download, no account. Open the page and play.
  • Nothing leaves your device. Best scores and preferences live in your browser's local storage. There is no leaderboard server because there is no server.
  • Fast. Each game is a separate bundle that loads only on its own page. Opening the image compressor never downloads Snake.
  • Touch and keyboard. Every game works with a finger, and every game that benefits from it works with arrow keys too.
  • Accessible. Boards are real buttons, status changes are announced, and nothing depends on colour alone (the Colour Challenge, which is about colour by definition, has an assist mode).

What's next

The classics are a foundation. The plan is to add original games that only exist on VoltKit, starting with a small interactive cat that reacts to how you treat it. If there is a classic you miss or an idea you would like to see, tell us.

Frequently asked questions

Do the games need an account?

No. Nothing on VoltKit needs an account. Best scores are stored in your browser's local storage and never sent anywhere.

Do the games work on phones?

Yes. Every game supports touch: swipe or an on-screen pad for movement games, tap for board games, and boards scale to the screen.
