Entry effects
SVGA entry effects for live rooms and VIP arrivals
An entry effect is the short animation everyone in a live room sees when someone arrives: a banner with their name, a vehicle or creature that crosses the screen, a burst of light around their seat. Live-streaming and voice chat apps use entry effects as a perk for VIP and SVIP members, high levels and event winners. Browse the entry effects in the store below: open one for its watermarked preview, then buy it, or claim it if it is marked Free, for your app.

What an entry effect announces
An entry effect turns an arrival into a moment the whole room notices, and tells everyone something about the person: their tier, their level or an event they won. The animation plays once, over the room, and gets out of the way.
- A name banner that slides across the lower part of the screen.
- A vehicle, creature or crest that crosses the room for a few seconds.
- A glow or ring around the newcomer's seat in a voice room.
- A bigger effect for a higher tier: VIP, then SVIP.
Your app decides who gets one
VoltKit RTC tells every client in the room when someone joins, with their identity, role and the metadata they joined with. Your app checks that person's tier with your server and plays the matching effect with its own player; the RTC SDKs have no built-in gift or effect player.
- Keep the rule on your server: which tier or level unlocks which effect, and until when.
- A connection that drops and comes back reaches the room as a leave and a new join, so play the effect once per visit.
- Queue arrivals and play one effect at a time; shorten or skip effects when many people arrive together.
- Offer a setting to turn entry effects off, and honour reduced motion.
Built as SVGA, often with sound
Entry effects are commonly made as SVGA: frames with a full alpha channel that sit over video and, in SVGA 2.0, a sound track that plays in step. Some SVGA players can also put the newcomer's avatar or name inside the animation by replacing a named image layer at run time, when the file was built with that layer.
- On a gift page, an SVGA preview plays with its sound over a colour or your own screenshot.
- Test the original in the free SVGA Player in the Phone 9:16 frame.
- Need the user's name or avatar inside the effect? Ask for named layers in a custom brief.
- SVGA Maker turns a short video into an effect; its frames are flattened pictures, without name or avatar slots.
Design for a busy room
An entry effect plays while people are talking, so it should be brief and leave the room usable: the speakers, the chat and the controls stay visible, and the effect never blocks a tap.
- Design for portrait phone screens first, and keep faces and the chat area clear.
- Keep the file small enough to start at once on a low-end phone during a call.
- Give lower tiers a smaller effect and keep full-screen effects for the top tier.
The licence in short
- Use it as you like in your own apps and business: as free gifts, paid gifts or anything else, for any number of users.
- No reselling or sharing the file itself, alone or in a pack.
- Non-exclusive: others may buy the same gift.
Previews on this site are watermarked and lower quality. The original you download from Console → My gifts after buying or claiming is full quality, with no watermark.

What is an entry effect in a live-streaming app?
A short animation that plays when someone joins a live room or a voice room, often with their name. Apps give them to VIP and SVIP members, high levels or event winners, so the room notices the arrival.
Which file format do entry effects use?
SVGA is common, because it keeps a transparent background and can carry sound; some apps use animated WebP or video with an alpha channel. Each VoltKit gift page names the file you receive.
Can an entry effect show the user's name or avatar?
Yes, when the SVGA has a named image layer for it: SVGA players for the web, Android and Flutter can replace that layer with a picture or add text at run time. A file of flattened frames cannot, so ask for named layers in a custom brief.
Does VoltKit RTC play entry effects?
No. VoltKit RTC tells every client when someone joins the room, with their identity, role and metadata. Your app decides whether that person gets an effect and plays it with an SVGA player; the RTC SDKs have no built-in effect player.
Why does an entry effect play again after a reconnect?
A connection that drops and comes back reaches the room as a leave with the reason disconnected, then a new join. Remember who has already had their effect during this visit and skip the replay.
Can I use entry effects as a paid VIP perk?
Yes. The licence lets you use a gift you buy or claim as you like in your own apps and business, including as a paid item or a reward, for any number of users. You may not resell or share the file itself.
Can I preview an entry effect before buying?
Yes. Open its page for the watermarked preview: an animated effect plays there, and an SVGA one plays with its sound over transparency, a colour or your own picture. The original you buy or claim has no watermark.
